UX/UI Designer · Product Thinker · Figma Maximalist
I'm Maryam — a UX/UI designer who helps products mature through intuitive flows, trust-building strategy, and systems that actually scale. I design with empathy. I ship with structure.
I'm a UX/UI designer with a background in research and a sharp eye for clarity. My past in nutrition and business taught me to lead with empathy, structure, and curiosity — and I bring all three to every screen I touch.
Whether I'm rebuilding a B2B SaaS site, designing a fintech app for Gen Z users who distrust banks, or shipping a Web3 marketplace solo in Webflow — I think in systems and design for humans.
I split my time between Dubai and Toronto. I co-organize Friends of Figma in Dubai and I believe design communities matter as much as design portfolios.
"Good design solved the layout problem.
Systems thinking solved the real one."
Three full-process studies — research through delivery.
Full redesign of a B2B privacy infrastructure company's site — home, product, integrations, resources, about. Led stakeholder interviews and a heuristic evaluation, rebuilt the IA from scratch, and delivered a dev-ready design system for a WordPress build.
Projected ~40% bounce reduction. Modular templates reused across 7+ page types. Internal teams now reference the site to explain the product.
A NOSTR-powered decentralized marketplace serving two distinct audiences — sellers and shoppers — with one blurred landing page. Designed and built two audience-specific pages in Figma and shipped them live in Webflow with CMS and custom interactions. Solo, no engineering support.
Two live, role-specific pages. CMS-enabled so the client manages content independently. Custom carousels and mobile logic — no plugins.
A fintech MVP blending AI chat with human advisors for Gen Z users who distrust banks. Research revealed tone and visual clarity — not features — were the real trust blockers. Shaped onboarding, dashboard, chat, and community flows from mid-fi through hi-fi delivery.
Contributed to shipped MVP. Mentored a junior designer. Lesson: clarity and small nudges beat loud gestures in high-trust contexts.
Stakeholder interviews, heuristic evaluations, competitive analysis. Understand the real problem before proposing anything.
Content audits, sitemaps, IA. Every section gets a purpose and funnel logic before it looks like anything.
Lo-fi to mid-fi with real content. Async Loom walkthroughs for fast stakeholder feedback — decisions without meeting overhead.
Hi-fi UI with a design system. Shipped in Webflow or handed off dev-ready. Reusable, scalable, documented.
Open to freelance, full-time, and collaboration. If it involves systems, research, or shipping something people will actually use — let's talk.
